Blue Angels & tall ships

Got buzzed at midday on the bridge deck while we worked on our upcoming interview list. The Blue Angels are practicing for their airshow Saturday over the Bay. It's Fleet Week.
In 1988, Mike sailed from Portland to San Francisco on the 156 foot tall ship Tole Mour, which was destined to become a hospital ship in the Marshall Islands. As they cleared the Golden Gate, they were surprised to discover thousands of boats crowded into the harbor and a Blue Angel show going on overhead. It was Fleet Week!

The captain did not waste time. "This is your bay," he said to Mike, handing over the helm. "Here!"
Mike has never properly told me the ending to this story.
