Pippin visits!

Pippin Frisbie-Calder, in from New Orleans

What a friendly face! Our first official visitor, five days in, was our dear family friend Pippin Frisbie-Calder, who was in town from New Orleans for a wedding. (The bride and groom were the Good Hot people, to be checked out as soon as we can.)

She was up till 5am in Oakland partying after the wedding, but managed to come see us around mid-day bearing a boat-warming gift of gin plus like 15 cans of tonic. After we fed her coffee we moved on to the gin, and about mid-afternoon she set off to hike over the point to her friends at the sauna site.

Later we found out that the path she took - the old rail line - led her to chainlink fences topped with razor wire! Being Pippin, she managed to get past them.

We love Pippin. By the way, she is an incredible print artist.
